Fork Lift Truck Novice Course (In House)
Duration: 5 Days
Location: Training Centre and on-site
Qualification: Training Certificate
A practical course for prospective lift truck drivers who have little or no experience and to enable participants to acquire the skills and knowledge required to operate lift trucks safely, efficiently and to take the lift truck practical test.
On course completion the candidate will be able to:
•Understand their responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
•Identify, describe and explain the principle components
•Understand the terminology used and features affecting the stability and capabilities of the machine
•Safely locate all controls of the machine
•Carry out pre-use checks
•Understand the safe loading of the machine and be able to assess the weights of loads handled
•Understand the operator safety code
•Operate and manoeuvre the lift truck in a confined space
•Stack pallets and stillages
•Carry out bulk stacking
•Unload and load transport safely

Fork Lift Truck - Part Experienced (In House)
Duration: 3 Days
Location: Training Centre and on-site
Qualification: Training Certificate
A practical course for prospective lift truck drivers who have being operating lift trucks for a minimum of 6 months.
On course completion the candidate will be able to:
•Understand their responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
In company codes of practice
•Identify, describe and explain the principle components
•Understand the features affecting the stability and capabilities of the machine
•Safely locate all controls of the machine
•Carry out pre-use checks
•Understand the safe loading of the machine and be able to assess the weights of loads handled
•Understand the operator safety code
•Operate in a confined space
•Stack and de-stack at varying heights
•Carry out bulk stacking
•Unload and transport safely
